Cyber security training
It is one thing having comprehensive policies about cyber security and how people should behave safely. It's quite another to persuade people to follow these policies!
Effective training requires several things.
- It needs to be relevant. And that means relevant to everyone's role in the organisation. Telling people that the customer list must be protected above all other things probably won't have much impact on people who never see a customer.
- It needs to be credible. If the tools and processes you put in place are seen as being useless then you can be sure people will ignore them.
- It needs to explain why things are required. Tell people what to do without telling them why and at the best you will create indifference, at worst resentment.
- It needs to be understood. Using technical specialists to explain the details of how a particular process works will puzzle most of the audience and bore the rest. Training needs to be simple and clear and take account of the different way different people learn.
cyber4HR will help you to deliver relevant and engaging training that is the first step in ensuring that people behave in a cyber safe way.
